Carol

President/CEO

The daughter of Airmate Company founder, Richard Schreder, Carol earned her BS degree in Marketing and Management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After graduation, she joined the buyers’ program of The May Company in Cleveland (now known as Macy’s, Inc.). Carol then worked in sales for the food division of Lever Brothers (a division of Unilever) until she joined the family manufacturing business in 1985.

At Airmate Company Carol worked in nearly all sales, marketing and management capacities before becoming president in 1999. Her first job ever was cleaning offices at Airmate when she was 13 years old. Carol is a trustee for the Bryan Area Foundation and past president of the Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce. Her mission at Airmate is to “recruit and develop leaders who will drive company goals.” An avid reader, Carol is currently studying quantum physics. She has two grown children, and enjoys traveling, gardening and practicing yoga.

Ben

Controller

Ben earned his first accounting degree at Adrian College in 1999 (BS Degree in Accounting). After college, he worked as a staff accountant at Dura Convertible Systems in Adrian, Michigan. From there, Ben moved to Archbold, Ohio and accepted an accounting position at Fypon, LTD (formerly Style Solutions, Inc.) where he was involved in the purchase of their largest competitor (Fypon, LTD). In 2008, he decided to go back to school to pursue an MBA at Indiana Wesleyan University. In November of 2008, Ben started working at Airmate as the accounting manager and soon advanced to Controller. In the fall of 2010, he completed his MBA in accounting.

In his role as Controller, Ben is heavily involved in the growth strategies and annual goals of Airmate Company. He manages all accounting functions including analyzing, interpreting, and controlling Airmate’s accounting and financial records. He enjoys being part of Airmate Company’s growth and organizational development.

Outside of Airmate, Ben enjoys watching the Detroit Tigers and cheering for the University of Michigan. During the spring and summer months, he finds himself at both baseball and softball games and enjoys watching his two children play a great game! Ben even finds time to enjoy the game himself playing slow-pitch softball in various tournaments throughout the summer. During his down time he enjoys reading. Two of Ben’s most recent reads were Good to Great by Jim Collins and The Difference Maker by John Maxwell.

Gary

Director of Sales and Marketing

With over 25 years of experience in the plastics industry, Gary provides Airmate with insight and understanding of the industry as a whole. Having held positions in everything from manufacturing to business analysis to R&D, Gary has experience in nearly every aspect of business. He has also held a variety of management positions throughout his career. Through his experiences, Gary has learned a very important business truth—work hard and have fun doing it. The ability to have fun and be part of a family atmosphere is one of the things Gary likes best about being at Airmate.

Gary has a variety of interests, including photography, bike riding and traveling. Gary’s most enjoyable trips are when he travels to visit his grown twin sons, who live in Chicago and Pittsburgh respectively. Gary and his wife, who have been married for 30+ years, are grateful they live halfway between both sons.

Gary’s love of life and people, coupled with his vast experience, provide the strength and direction needed to reach Airmate’s goals of excellence and efficiency.

Travis

Sales Manager

With over 10 years of managerial experience in the plastics industry, Travis has a wealth of knowledge and expertise which have helped him in his role as a Sales Manager. A highly competitive player, Travis’ favorite sports are football and golf. Likewise, Travis loves “the challenge and ability to grow” which his role at Airmate provides him with. Always on the go, Travis is well traveled and even lived in Europe for a while, during which time he was married and his daughter was born. Travis’ love for challenges and his years of experience help him immensely in his role as a Sales Manager.

Denise

Senior Customer Service Representative

Denise has had over 22 years of experience in customer service, office management, and sales. Her years of experience come in handy as she serves customers in numerous capacities.

Denise enjoys coming up with new ideas, developing customer relationships and facing the challenges that come with her position. Denise is always eager to learn more and go the extra mile in order to help customers succeed. Her mission is to use her strengths and expertise to take Airmate beyond the customer’s expectations.

Denise has been married for thirty-two years and is the mother of three grown boys, who continue to give her much joy. She also enjoys spending time with her grandson. Denise and her family are enthusiastic Ohio State football fans. Denise loves the excitement of being in the midst of the crowd and watching Script Ohio.

Kelli

Production Manager

With over 22 years of experience working in manufacturing quality assurance, Kelli has brought invaluable expertise to her role at Airmate. She started working with Airmate in September of 2009 as Quality Assurance Manager and is now spearheading change in her role of Production Manager.

A seamstress of everything from baby blankets to costumes, you would never know she almost failed her sewing class in high school. Kelli and her husband love to spend time four-wheeling and camping in northern Michigan with their dog, Dinger (named after her husband’s favorite fishing bait, Yum Dinger).

Family is the most important part of Kelli’s life. She enjoys spending time planning family get-togethers. It’s no surprise then that the family atmosphere at Airmate is one of Kelli’s favorite things about her job. She also enjoys the new challenges and opportunities she faces each day as she leads Airmate closer to our high goals of excellence and efficiency.

Holly

Accounting and Payroll

Holly is a key member of Airmate’s accounting team. Not only does she maintain accounts payable and receivable, Holly also handles all aspects of Airmate’s payroll. Her primary mission is to streamline and organize Airmate’s accounting processes. Holly’s years of experience working with a CPA firm have given her valuable skills for accomplishing these goals.

Organization isn’t the only thing Holly is passionate about. She loves spending time with her husband Chris, daughter Ava and step daughter Zoe. In her spare time, Holly enjoys watching the Young and the Restless and scary movies. Some of her favorite scary movies are The Strangers, 30 Days of Night and The Descent. While she enjoys a good scare, she only likes to watch them with her husband, because there is strength in numbers.

The same thing is true when it comes to business. It is important to have a solid team to work with. Holly is a valuable member of the Airmate family. Her faithful determination and relentless organization help keep Airmate working efficiently and productively.

Todd

Purchasing Agent/Inventory Controller

As Purchasing Agent and Inventory Controller, Todd keeps everything in its place and accounted for. Todd’s mission is to encourage savings and maintain earnings. It is a big responsibility, but Todd is up to the challenge. With his ready smile and willing attitude, Todd is well equipped for the task of building vendor relations and managing inventory. Even when it means counting product by hand to verify inventory accuracy, Todd doesn’t worry. He knows it is all part of the process. His job is different every day and that’s what he likes about it. Having been with Airmate over 3 years, Todd is leading Airmate forward in our mission of excellence and efficiency. Things may get a little crazy at times, but he just turns on some country music to relax.

Todd spends his spare time running the billiard tables. He and his wife both play pool on local teams. Todd also enjoys camping and spending time with his daughter.

Hannah

Communication and Marketing Specialist

Hannah started working at Airmate as an intern in early 2010 and has moved into her current role as Communication and Marketing Specialist. Hannah has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Creative Media emphasis and a minor in English. After working for her college marketing department, Hannah moved home to Bryan and married her best friend, Jared. She and Jared love to travel, practice swing dancing and watch So You Think You Can Dance.

Hannah enjoys communication and marketing because there is always something new to learn. Hannah’s mission for her role at Airmate is “to communicate to employees, customers, and the public the value of Airmate and the importance of each member.”
